Gaurav has 20 years of experience in private equity, investment banking , corporate finance, business strategy / operations, and organization building across sectors and geographies.
Prior to joining Aliph Capital, Gaurav was the CEO at Al Dahra India (focused on UAE-India Food Security); Director and Co-head of the Central Strategy Office (Dubai) at The Abraaj Group and part of the Investment Banking team at Goldman Sachs, Mumbai.
Over the past 20 years, Gaurav has gained experience working in leadership roles across functions including M&A, fund-raising, portfolio investments/monitoring, business strategy, public / private capital raising, corporate finance and executing greenfield operations / organization building. He has been involved in over $1 billion of equity fund-raising (public markets follow-on, growth capital and M&A) and over $2 billion of Growth Markets focused growth capital fund-raising.
Gaurav holds a Chartered Accountant degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a B. Com. Degree from Delhi University.
